Summit Woodworks is about more than just beautiful furniture and design elements. The company started as a hobby really. When the Covid shutdown happened my wife Sarah and I were looking for ways to occupy the time with our three busy boys: Reily, Jackson, and Taylor. If you're a parent you know that you have to get creative sometimes. My wife had her eye on a beautiful table at a local boutique and I thought I would try my hand at making it and get the boys to join me on the build. The project was such a success I started getting more requests from friends and neighbors and the boys and I were busier than ever making things in my garage workshop. Over time what I thought was a simple hobby grew into a thriving small business and Summit Woodworks was born.

We are located in Grass Valley, California which has been our home for the last 6 years. When we aren't building furniture we love to get out and explore. We love hiking, climbing, backpacking, rafting, camping, and pretty much any other outdoor activity you can be an enthusiast at.

We are passionate about everything we do and we understand that there is a nostalgia to certain pieces of furniture that make them priceless. Everyone remembers the coffee table at Grandma's house that always had the bowl of mints on it or the hope chest that held all of their special treasures from childhood that now holds their child's special treasures. That is why we do what we do. It's not just about creating a beautiful piece of furniture, it's about creating that dining table that your family will eat around for years to come, or a shelf to hang all your daughter's swim medals that will still be in the same place when she comes to visit from college. Our designs are more than a statement piece, they are a work of heart.
