Made To Order
Summit Woodworks only makes furniture to fulfill our customer's orders. It is handcrafted to your specifications and with your home in mind. We don't mass-produce anything. We don't mass-produce anything because Mass-produced furniture is not built to last, and if it gets damaged, it cannot be repaired because it is constructed out of particle board with a thin veneer.
My products are made with real wood and skilled furniture techniques that are everlasting and also repairable. When something is handmade a lot of time, energy, pride, and care goes into making it. Handmade wood furniture means that each individual piece is prioritized and built to last for generations to come.
Our customers can choose between two options when purchasing a piece of furniture.

They can choose one of Summit's pre-designed pieces, selecting dimensions and wood type.

Alternatively, customers can commission a bespoke piece that is completely unique to them.
If you chose option 2, this process will take place in three steps:

DISCOVERY & DESIGN
Submit a Custom Order Request, and share what you have in mind! This will be followed up with a discovery phone call - What piece of furniture do you want? What kind of wood type, finish, and size do you envision for your home? Once I've collected all this information, I hit the drawing board in order to create some rough sketches to show you!

BUILD & FINISH
Once we receive the 50% deposit of the total amount, for your commissioned piece, the build begins! The first round of templates will be provided in order to guarantee that the final product meets your exact requests. Summit Woodworks will provide updates on the production and send images of the build process along the way!

DELIVERY & INSTALL
Woo-Hoo! Your new one-of-a-kind commissioned piece of furniture is built and ready for delivery! Summit Woodwork offers delivery and setup within a 100-mile radius of Grass Valley, California. The delivery fee will be calculated based on the distance from Grass Valley. We are so excited to be a part of your home.

Summit Woodworks is one of the few furniture makers that offers the flexibility of custom-made furniture. One of the most obvious benefits of custom-built furniture is that you don't have to compromise. You get to choose the wood type, finish, etc. before the furniture is built!
